The Göbel’s Schlosshotel ‘Prinz von Hessen’ is located in the centre of Germany, in Friedwald close to Bad Hersfeld. This hunting castle was rebuilt in 1997 and transformed into a five star palace hotel combining an historic building with a modern interior. 

The wellness hotel’s Schlosspark is perfect for walks to explore the medieval castle and discover the herb garden, which supplies the hotel with fresh herbs.

Guests can relax in the spa and sauna area with various saunas like the Schwitzstube, a steam bath, a bio or infrared sauna as well as the indoor or outdoor pool and whirlpools. The ruin of the former water castle, dating back to the 14th century, is often used as a backdrop for open air concerts and celebrations like weddings.
